Classes and times

Children and families

The mon belt class for children of about 5–12, split into the Ninjas and the Eagles. New children start here, and parents can train alongside the Ninjas.

This is where children in the mon system train. Mon is the club’s belt system for children of about 5–12, and the children are split into two groups: the Ninjas and the Eagles.

The Ninjas

Who it is for The newest and youngest children, and children with a yellow, orange or green mon belt.

Here you learn the basic rules of taekwondo. We often work through play and practise a few basic techniques, strikes and kicks.

Instructor Janine

Parents Parents can train alongside. This requires a federation licence, which also covers insurance.

The Eagles

Who it is for The more experienced mon children.

The focus here is on basics and techniques, and on building on what you learned with the Ninjas. There is learning through play here too, but less than with the Ninjas. The aim is that the children can move up to the kup belt class in time, where training is more disciplined.

Instructor Nikolaj

Parents Parents cannot train alongside in this group.

Mon, kup and dan are the club’s belt systems. Mon is for children of about 5–12, kup are the student grades from 10th to 1st kup, and dan is black belt and above. Read more under Belt gradings.
